Joyn Launches HbbTV On Philips TVs
The streaming platform Joyn integrated the Inaris HbbTV Solution into their Android TV App for Sony TV earlier this year. This has been launched by end of July and allows Joyn users to access the HbbTV offering of the ARD group. By the beginning of November, Joyn has expanded their offering of HbbTV to cover Android-based Philips TV devices as well.
This significantly extends the group of Joyn users who can enjoy the advantages of broadcast-related content provided via HbbTV. TARA’s Inaris HbbTV Solution for Android is the basis for this seamless integration of HbbTV into the Android app of an OTT streaming platform used by millions of people in Germany.
