Blue WebApp integrated on the Quickline TV Set-Top Box
Quickline now offers the blue Sport channels on their UHD Android TV Box. We enabled this by integrating the Blue WebApp with the Quickline application. An Android WebView is used to display and navigate through the Blue application.
However, the real challenge was the playback of the content – which is provided in HD and UHD resolution. For playback we used the ExoPlayer and provided a JavaScript interface to the WebView. For content protection, PlayReady is in use on the Broadcom-based STB.
