TARA Follows the Google TV Partner Bootcamp 2022
The Google TV Partner Bootcamp is always an excellent opportunity for us to follow the latest developments and innovations of Android TV. A wide range of topics was presented in numerous presentations over two days.
One focus was, of course, Android 13, which was already presented at Google I/O this year. Many enhancements aim to improve the TV user experience, like audio description support or enhanced audio routing.
Of particular interest to TARA Systems is the further development of the Common Broadcast Stack (CBS). CBS aims to make it easier to support live broadcast content received via a tuner, such as content transmitted via DVB. For the first time, a framework for the support of interactive, programme-accompanying applications, such as HbbTV and Ginga, was presented.
